If you ever need to mark metal (stainless, aluminum, some coated metals), go LP5. If you only do wood/leather/acrylic, LP4 is cheaper and still great.
And if you're still on the fence, ask yourself: will the portability let me say yes to jobs I'd otherwise turn down? For me, the answer was yes. That's why I switched. And I haven't looked back.
